The Denver Broncos gave Russell Wilson a significant upgrade at the head coaching position.
Replacing Nathaniel Hackett with Sean Payton was the equivalent of Tampa Bay signing Tom Brady to replace Jameis Winston, and the Broncos surely hope it’ll have the same effect on their team.
Moreover, it’s not a secret that Wilson had wanted to work with him for quite a while, and some reports even state that he wanted the Seattle Seahawks to replace Pete Carroll with him.
Whatever the case, Wilson has now been granted his wish, and he’s loving every second of it.
When asked about what he likes the most about Payton, Wilson told Kay Adams that his new coach is the kind of guy who knows what he wants.

But more than that, he likes the fact that he has a swagger and a confidence that only comes with experience and actually having won a Super Bowl and competing at the highest level for quite a long time, so he knows how to get things done.
The Broncos have struggled to get back to their winning ways since Peyton Manning’s retirement, and while they’ve put together a very promising roster, poor QB play and bad coaching have stood in their way too often already.
Bringing in Wilson was supposed to solve one of those issues, and adding one of the best coaches in modern history should be more than enough to solve the other, but they’ll have a tough road ahead of them.
