Russell Wilson‘s first season as a member of the Denver Broncos did not live up to preseason expectations.
Although he had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career to date, Wilson has maintained his positivity and is deciding to look ahead instead of dwelling on the past.

In 2022, Wilson completed just 60.5 percent of passes, threw for 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and ended the season with a passer rating of 84.4.
Wilson needs to turn it around in 2023, especially since the Broncos gave up so much for him in the offseason.
With a new coach on the horizon, Wilson and the Broncos are in desperate need of new leadership and could benefit from a long-time, heavily tenured coach to lead them in 2023.
When looking ahead to the future, the Broncos will likely need to make a few player changes and could look to the draft to find some key contributors.
Pending any trades, the Broncos do have a first-round pick in 2023, which is 29th overall.
They also have two third-round picks, and hold their picks in rounds four through seven.
With a division that contains two playoff teams the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos need help to surpass the elite play of both teams.
This will require Wilson to step up his game, and for the entire Broncos organization to stand behind him.
If the Broncos can give Wilson more weapons, a better offensive line, and overall, a better chance to succeed, they will be much more likely to find the success in 2023 that they lacked this season.
