The Los Angeles Clippers should be happy they were able to sign Russell Westbrook.
No matter how people feel about his game, he is always available to play.
He even makes playing in games a priority.
On a team with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Westbrook will be the one you can count on to take the court every night.
So it was refreshing to hear that Westbrook does not take the NBA or the fans for granted.
“You never know who's watching. I always value the one kid that drove 1,000 miles to come see me play this random night and if I don't play you know, I feel like I'm letting that one fan down and I always had that in my mind.”

Westbrook has always given 100% when on the court.
He plays hard and can still make an impact on the court.
In an NBA that is full of players who are looking for a reason not to play, fans want to see more players like Westbrook.
Load management has become a massive issue, and it is hurting the NBA product.
Even though injuries have caught up to Westbrook in recent seasons, he will never sit out for “rest” purposes.
The Clippers need a guy they can count on to play every night and that is why adding Westbrook made sense.
But, on the court, it will be interesting to see how Westbrook fits in.
It seems likely he will come off the bench, as his inefficiencies as a shooter make it difficult for Westbrook to be on the floor in long stretches.
But, his ability to be a playmaker and rebound for a guard is why he is so useful.
Even though Westbrook is a shell of his former MVP self, he is still committed to taking the floor every night.
