It’s been a rough season for the Los Angeles Lakers and Russell Westbrook.
He was acquired by the team last summer in a huge blockbuster deal that had many cheering…and many others very nervous.
Some people didn’t see how Westbrook would fit in with the team’s lineup featuring LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, and others.
It hasn’t worked out so far and the team is struggling mightily – as is Westbrook.
Thankfully, we got to see a brighter, happier side of him on Monday night.

After LA’s win against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Westbrook took some time during his press conference to show off a sweater that his son made for him.
Commenting on the art and design that was created by his son, he was all smiles and obviously very proud of his boy.
It was nice to see something related to Westbrook that everyone could be happy about.
Turning A Corner?
Westbrook has been quietly having a string of good games lately.
Over his last five, he has averaged 18.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists too.
This is leading a few people to wonder if Westbrook is finally finding his footing with the Lakers.
That’s a possibility but does it really matter at this point?
LA is the ninth seed in the West and are clinging to it with all their might.
The chances of them turning the season around and claiming anything higher than that are all but gone.
Additionally, rumor has it that both he and the Lakers’ front office are ready to part ways in the summer.
So even if the veteran is actually performing better, it might be too late.
It seems very likely that the Lakers-Westbrook experiment is coming to an end.
