LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers once again made history on Sunday night.
King James became the second player in NBA history to score 37,000 points and now sits only behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the number one spot.
But he wasn’t the only Laker breaking records in the team’s embarrassing defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans.

On Sunday, Russell Westbrook passed both Dwyane Wade and Adrian Dantley on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
It’s an impressive notch in Westbrook’s belt and one of the few highlights of a very troubled season.
But has Westbrook played as poorly as people have said?
Rocky Russ
Westbrook had a strong performance on Sunday night for the fifth game in a row, scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Over the last five games, Westbrook has averaged 21.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.6 assists.
That’s markedly better than how he was playing earlier in the year.
In fact, Westbrook has found a groove for himself lately and has been performing consistently.
But that doesn’t change the fact that he isn’t a great fit on this Lakers lineup.
He hasn’t been the missing piece that James and the rest of the squad expected and it can’t be denied that he’s made some really bone-headed, silly plays throughout the season.
For these reasons, it’s very likely that the Lakers will do whatever they can to get rid of him in the summer.
In fact, the latest rumors suggest that both the Lakers and Westbrook are ready to part ways.
Westbrook has had his problems and this season certainly hasn’t been his greatest but he’s not nearly as awful as some angry NBA fans claim.
