Once again, Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Lakers had a rough performance for his team.
Once again, there are many people calling on him to be traded.
And, once again, Westbrook is standing up for himself and refusing the calls to change.

Westbrook went 0-of-11 on Thursday night in a painful loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
He did other things right, like grabbing a few important steals and stepping up his defensive game.
But the lack of good shots really hurt the team and continued the narrative that Westbrook isn’t helping his squad.
Westbrook didn’t seem bothered by this.
Asked about his on-court performance, Westbrook said “Solid. Played hard. All you can ask for. Go on to the next one.”
This performance – and Westbrook’s statement about it – is the last thing that fans want.
At Wit’s End With Russell
There are a few things about Westbrook bothering LA fans.
The biggest is that he is looking a lot like the player that they saw last year and that suggests that not much has changed and that the team will struggle to even make the play-in tournament.
But they are also upset that Westbrook sees nothing wrong with how he is playing and wouldn’t change a thing.
Few people would say that Westbrook’s work on Thursday was “all you can ask for.”
It’s only been a few games but something has to change with Westbrook and his team.
The team was supposed to be in better condition when 2022-23 started and, so far, they look like the exact same team that struggled so much last year.
The first step to changing is admitting something is wrong – and Westbrook won’t even do that.
