The New York Jets haven’t had much to celebrate over the past decade.
They haven’t made the playoffs and only had one winning season during that stretch.
Worst yet, they have been through four head coaches over that span: Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles, Adam Gase, and Robert Saleh.
Now in his second year at the helm, Saleh is looking to turn things around for the Jets.
However, much work is needed after the squad finished 4-13 in his first year.
Generating energy on the sidelines is one way for Saleh to reinvigorate his squad.
The enthusiasm he brings could have a ripple effect on his players who want to become competitive.
That’s why Saleh would like to celebrate any achievement they get as much as possible.
It's the fourth quarter of a preseason game and #Jets HC Robert Saleh wanted to celebrate with his guys after a defensive TD.

Pro Football Focus’ Ari Meirov tweeted, “It’s the fourth quarter of a preseason game, and #Jets HC Robert Saleh wanted to celebrate with his guys after a defensive TD. Ref still stopped him. Saleh bringing all the energy.”
All he could do is jump for joy from the Jets’ sideline because the referee prevented him from entering the field.
It’s not that the referee is against Saleh’s happiness.
Instead, he is just following league policy.
Jets Hoping To Gain Ground In The AFC East
Saleh and the Jets hope to compete in their division, especially against the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills.
However, the Miami Dolphins might also give them a run for their money after their rebuilding project this offseason.
For the Jets to compete, they have to address their quarterback situation first.
Zach Wilson might be sidelined by injury, leaving them with either Joe Flacco or Mike White.
Saleh will have to make up his mind before they kick off the season against the Baltimore Ravens.
