The 2023 season is shaping up to be another exciting one and hopefully a successful one for the Baltimore Ravens who retooled their receiver corps to give Lamar Jackson more weapons.
The Ravens have been a predominantly run-heavy team since they made Jackson their full-time starting quarterback, but the team is shifting their philosophy under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
With Monken redesigning the scheme, Baltimore is expected to let Jackson throw it more which bodes well for them as they had become a little predictable over the years.
In order to make the offensive come to life, the Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency and selected Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Along with All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews, Jackson has plenty of talented pass catchers who can stretch out opposing defenses in every direction.
The retooled offense brings early optimism that Baltimore can compete with the best teams which is why analysts like Robert Griffin III believe they can win the Super Bowl via his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show.
Griffin does add one caveat that the Ravens must stay healthy in order to win it all, but the same can be said for every team in the NFL.
The former quarterback goes on to add the Kansas City Chiefs as another AFC contender, and later picks the Philadelphia Eagles to once again represent the NFC.
Most people are expecting a rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles in this year’s Super Bowl, though the Ravens certainly have a chance to crash the party.
