Last week, Nembhard broke the hearts of the Los Angeles Lakers when he sank a crucial clutch three-pointer.
It was the talk of the town and took the internet by storm when it happened.
Then, Monday night, Nembhard was again turning heads when he dropped 31 points, 13 assists, and 8 rebounds on 5 three-pointers against the Golden State Warriors,
Nembhard outplayed Stephen Curry in multiple ways: he was able to move past him with ease and beat him at his own game.
Nembhard now joins Curry, Jason Kidd, and Trae Young as the only rookies ever with 30/8/10 with 5 three-pointers in a game.
Will Nembhard’s star keep rising after the wonderful week he’s had?
Impressing Everyone
Even Curry was shocked by the performance of Nembhard on Monday night.
The look on his face as the player put up a couple of impressive three-pointers in the fourth water said it all: he knows talent when he sees it.
Nembhard has now scored double figures in four of his last five games and is shooting better than 40% from the three this season.
He’s a wonderful shooter, obviously, but he’s also terrific at passing too and that was on full display Monday night against the Warriors.
Not only was he sinking deft shots for his Pacers, but he was also getting the ball to other players and was performing like a true rising star that should be getting a lot of attention.
