Nick Bosa recently inked a contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers which made him the highest-paid defender in league history.
When this news broke, several current and former players wished him a public congratulations.
This now includes 49ers alum Richard Sherman, who wished him well during his podcast.
Sherman described Bosa as a “top three” player in the NFL, saying he has “earned the money.”

The 49ers have heavily invested in several of their top players, and Bosa is the latest example of that.
They are often regarded as one of the most well-run organizations in the league, largely due to how they treat their players.
Sherman was among the countless players to believe Bosa is well worth this amount given his on-field dominance.
He talked about how much the San Francisco community is behind Bosa but also highlighted a group that isn’t so thrilled.
When talking about their Week 1 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he said, “I guarantee you they would have preferred Nicholas John Bosa not be present for this game.”
Starting the season with a victory can be the catalyst a team needs to have an outstanding year.
The Steelers have received a lot of praise recently, as many pundits believe they have an upward trajectory.
By facing off against the 49ers in the first week, especially with Bosa on the field, they might be in for a rude awakening.
After making it to the NFC Championship last year, the 49ers can now breathe easy knowing Bosa is locked up in San Francisco.
