It’s been quite the rollercoaster ride for the New York Jets during the 2023 NFL season as they lost their starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers after he tore his Achilles tendon.
Zach Wilson took over the reins of the offense and after a few lackluster performances, the young signal-caller has gotten into a groove as of late.
Wilson nearly led the Jets to an improbable victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, and despite the loss, it was a game that he and the rest of the team could use to build on.
In fact, New York continued their momentum with a shocking upset over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.
The Jets beat the Eagles 20-14 and improved their record to 3-3, keeping them squarely in the playoff race.
New York’s win over Philadelphia was beyond impressive and had Rich Eisen heaping tons of praise on them via The Rich Eisen Show.

The Jets’ defense was the star of the matchup as they forced four Eagles’ turnovers, including a late interception on Jalen Hurts that sealed the game.
Defensively, New York has been one of the best units in the league and they showed why as they were able to slow down a Philadelphia offense that hasn’t quite looked like its 2022 self yet.
Wilson didn’t have a spectacular day throwing the football, but he played under control and managed the game well enough for the Jets to come out victorious.
It’s a step in the right direction for New York and a massive confidence boost for them for the rest of the regular season.
