Dennis Schroder‘s brief tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers wasn’t what he wanted.
The point guard was part of the team’s unsuccessful attempt to win back-to-back Finals in the 2020-21 season.
Schroder didn’t perform horribly but he didn’t become a crucial part of the team as he had hoped.
Then things got messy, Schroder demanded a big contract extension and left the team when he didn’t get it.

But now Schroder is back and ready to play harder than ever.
Some people might wonder what drew him back to the team and Schroder was clear about what attracted him and had him return to LA.
“(Darvin) was the main reason,” Schroder said of the new head coach.
He isn’t the only one excited to play under Ham’s leadership.
Quite a few players and fans are eager to see what this new head coach can do.
Schroder Returns
Schroder admits that there is some “unfinished business” with the team.
He wants to do all he can to get the team back in playoff form and he wants to follow the command of his coach.
Ham has promised that he is going to change the way the team works, with both returning stars and those who have been with the team for years.
This is his first time being the head coach for a team but he has been a successful assistant coach for years, especially with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Schroder sees the potential of Ham and he is ready for it.
It doesn’t matter if Ham decides to start Schroder or have him remain a bench player.
Either way, the guard is prepared and ready to go.
