Right now, the Los Angeles Lakers need any sort of help they can get.
Things are so bad for the storied franchise that they’d probably give the team ball boys a few minutes on the court if it helped them secure a W.
The team is shockingly sitting at a 2-8 record and looking worse than they have in years.
This is happening even with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook working together.

The team is missing one player who might help.
Dennis Schroder has been out of the game for weeks due to a thumb injury but he is getting closer to coming back.
Footage from inside the practice court shows Schroder putting up some impressive shots, moving with speed, and looking ready to suit up.
Will Schroder solve all the problems in LA?
No, the man isn’t a miracle worker.
But he could give them a little boost and, as mentioned, they will take anything they can get.
Schroder Shooting Again
Schroder is a guard best known for his speed and shooting abilities, which were on full display during the summer when he helped his German team thrive in the EuroBasket tournament.
One of the Lakers’ biggest problems is their lack of reliant shooting so if Schroder can start to rain shots, he will immediately be a welcome addition.
This will be the German star’s big return to the southland: he played for the Lakers in 2020-21 and was sent away after one season, spending time with both the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets.
Schroder will not put an end to LA’s troubles but he could punch up their stats just a bit and give them a bit more strength.
Strength sounds good to a team this weak.
