Where is Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers going to play?
People have been wondering that for months now and the answer hasn’t become any more clear during the summer.
Plans to move him to the Miami Heat have halted entirely and the season is approaching.
Analyst Sam Vecenie has a novel idea for a possible Lillard trade and shared it on his “Game Theory” podcast.
“I think [the Milwaukee Bucks] might be the team that makes the most sense other than Miami maybe [to trade for Lillard], if they were willing to move Jrue [Holiday],” Vecenie said.
I don’t know if I would move Jrue. Honestly, I probably would for Dame but Jrue is such an intrinsic part of their culture,” he added.

This could be the sort of trade that makes sense for both sides.
Portland has always said that they won’t be sending Lillard away unless they receive an A-list star in return.
Holiday might not be as productive as Lillard but he’s still a sensational player.
In 2022-23, he averaged 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 7.4 assists.
He’s a two-time All-Star and a champion too.
And even though he’s just 6-foot-3, he has been on the NBA All-Defensive team five times throughout his career.
At 33 years old, he brings wisdom he can provide for the younger players on the Blazers’ roster.
Milwaukee would, of course, get one of the best guards of all time in this trade.
But, as mentioned by Vecenie, they would lose a crucial part of their team’s culture and chemistry.
Both the Blazers and Bucks need to undergo some changes.
The Blazers desire to become playoff contenders again and the Bucks wish to return to the Finals.
Could this trade be one that gives them both what they want?
