The Cincinnati Reds have officially hit rock bottom.
Even after finally snapping their 11-game losing skid, a new one is taking place.
The Reds have now lost eight in a row and are well behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central.
They’re off to a major league worst 3-21 start and their run differential sits at -82.
Now, if you’ve seen the movie “Dumb and Dumber”, you’re familiar with the famous quote “our pets’ heads are falling off” from the one and only Jim Carrey.
Last night, after the team’s 18-4 blowout loss to the Brewers, one Cincinnati reporter channeled his inner Jim Carrey to describe how bad they have been.
#Reds lose 18-4 tonight. Now 3-21.

“Our Pets’ Heads Are Falling Off”
He’s correct.
They have officially reached the stage of their pets’ heads falling off in Cincinnati.
But this is a good Carrey impression.
Of course, this guy isn’t going to have as good of an impression as Carrey himself, but he got the point across.
It’s been an awful season for the Reds up to this point.
Is there any way they could any worse?
Unfortunately for Reds fans, probably.
There’s no getting around how bad things have been in Cincinnati.
The ownership group can try to hide from it all they want, but this reporter was speaking for the entirety of the Reds’ fanbase when he made this impression.
The fans are angry, frustrated, and embarrassed.
They’re tired of losing and want things to change.
The stage of pets’ heads falling off has arrived in the Queen City.
But at least there’s a little humor to be found with a reporter making a Dumb and Dumber reference.
For the trajectory of the Reds’ season, not so much.
