The Minnesota Timberwolves had a huge victory on Tuesday night as they secured the seventh seed after beating the Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in game.
Yet, somehow people are making fun of them.
The point of contention happens to be the celebration of the team after their win.
All of the players, especially Patrick Beverley, were very excited about winning and were dancing around the court, cheering to the crowd, throwing their jerseys into the stands, and acting as if they had just won the championship.
Of course, people were piling on and roasting them because of that.
I'm down with everything the Timberwolves did to celebrate clinching the 7th seed last night. Every tear. Every fist pump. Every hop on the scorers table. Every girlfriend embrace. May we all do something that fills us with that much glee. All that matters is what matters to you.

However, NBA reporter Michael Lee was all about the excitement.
On Twitter, Lee said: “I’m down with everything the Timberwolves did to celebrate clinching the 7th seed last night. Every tear. Every fist pump. Every hop on the scorers table. Every girlfriend embrace. May we all do something that fills us with that much glee. All that matter is what matters to you.”
The Timberwolves might have been a little over the top but Lee has a point: they should be excited.
Timberwolves On A Tear
At the start of this season, few people honestly expected Minnesota to make the playoffs.
In fact, many people didn’t think they’d get even close.
You have to remember that they won a total of 23 games in the previous season.
They have drastically turned around the direction of their team and are now in the playoffs for the second time in 17 years.
The victory celebration they had on Tuesday night wasn’t so much about making the playoffs, it was about overcoming the odds and the doubts of millions of people.
Even if they get swept in the first round, the Timberwolves should be very excited about what they have accomplished.
