NBA free agency kicked off Monday at 6 pm EST.
The rumors with the Boston Celtics are already flying.
One rumor, in particular, involves a reunion with a former Celtic star.
Is a homecoming in the works?
Longtime reporter Marc Stein is reporting that the Celtics have interest in a reunion with Isaiah Thomas.
“Boston, I’m told, has interest in an Isaiah Thomas reunion, with new Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens known to be one of Thomas’ biggest fans,” Stein wrote Monday on Substack.

We will wait and see on this one, but it is certainly interesting to see if this happens.
Thomas became a fan favorite in his two-plus seasons in Boston and had his single-best season in the 2016-2017 year.
He averaged 28.9 points per game while being named to the All-Star team that year.
Thomas was a part of the blockbuster deal that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston.
Since then, he has dealt with nagging hip injuries and has appeared in only 87 games in the past 4 seasons.
The 32-year-old appeared in 6 games last season with the Pelicans and averaged 7.7 points per game.
