After an awful start to the 2022 regular season, the Boston Red Sox finally appear to be finding their groove.
They have won six games in a row and have come to within two games of the .500 mark and 2.5 games of the third American League Wild Card spot.
At one point at the end of April, the Red Sox were actually in last place in the AL East division, behind even the Baltimore Orioles.
But now, they are turning into the contender everybody expected them to be.
Red Sox star Enrique Hernandez was asked about what has changed for this team and why they’re hot all of a sudden.
His answer was simple and can be seen in the tweet below.
What has been the biggest difference for the Red Sox offense lately?
“Trevor Story,” answered Kiké Hernández.

True Story
A hot Trevor Story can change a lot of things for a team that is struggling.
Story launched a three-run homer in last night’s 16-3 rout of the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, bringing his total on the year up to eight.
He also drove in a run with an RBI single, bringing his RBI total up to 33.
The Red Sox star second baseman is hitting .357 in his last seven games with six home runs and 17 RBIs.
With Story finally performing up to par, the Red Sox are proving that their early season woes were just a fluke and that they truly are a team that can contend for a World Series title.
Sometimes, just fixing one thing can help turn a team’s season around.
Hernandez hit the nail on the head when he said that Story has been the X-factor.
If Story stays hot, then the Red Sox will continue to win ballgames.
