It was a very rocky start for the Boston Red Sox.
After reaching the ALCS in 2021, they were 10-19 through their first 29 games of the season and sat in dead last in a top-heavy American League East division.
Since then, a lot has changed.
Many bright spots emerged, and these Red Sox started playing like everybody knew they were capable of playing.
They’ve won seven of their last 10 games and are in control of the second AL-Wild Card spot, as they sit at 38-31.
MLB tweeted a cool little graphic featuring Trevor Story, Xander Bogaerts, and Rafael Devers, while mentioning in the caption that the Sox are now playing .700 baseball since their poor start.

Boston Dominance
What a difference a few weeks makes.
At the beginning of May, the Red Sox looked to be dead in the water, but they have turned it around at just the right time.
Everybody knew this was a good team that was capable of winning a ton of ballgames.
They just hadn’t gotten it going yet.
Now they’re rolling again and are just a half-game out of the top Wild Card spot in the American League, which is currently held by the Toronto Blue Jays.
With Alex Cora at the helm, the Red Sox have done some pretty amazing things.
They won it all in 2018 and went deep into the postseason last year when people largely expected them to be no better than .500.
But here they are, winning games and playing like one of the best teams in baseball again.
The contributions of Story, Bogaerts, and Devers have been essential in their turnaround.
Now it’s time to see if they can stay hot and return to the postseason.
