The offseason was quite a mixed bag for the Boston Red Sox.
Though they lost some key pieces in Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez and also will be without Trevor Story for an undetermined amount of time, they still made some impactful moves that should give them a chance to prove some of their doubters wrong.
The signings of Adam Duvall, Masataka Yoshida, Justin Turner, Corey Kluber, and Kenley Jansen should help.
But the trades for left-hander Richard Bleier and shortstop Adalberto Mondesi were also helpful moves.
Regardless, baseball season is right around the corner, and the Red Sox are clearly excited to get going.
On Twitter, the official account of the team posted a photo collage of their spring training facility at JetBlue Park at sunrise with the caption: “Rise and shine. We have a season to play.”

We have a season to play indeed.
Other teams have already reported to camp, but today is the day for the Red Sox.
Last season, they won just 78 games and finished at the bottom of the American League East.
But with some key moves, the team is hoping to bounce back in 2023.
The Red Sox managed to make a surprise run to the ALCS in 2021 after two straight seasons of missing the postseason.
But regardless of what happens, Red Sox fans enjoy the opportunity to watch their team in action and are certainly looking forward to the start of a new season.
Spring is right around the corner, and so is Opening Day.
