Rafael Devers has found himself in the middle of trade rumors for the last several weeks of the MLB offseason.
The Boston Red Sox third baseman was subjected to these rumors in part over his expiring contract.
After the two parties failed to get a long-term deal, fans saw the two come to a one-year deal.
The deal was fuel to the fire of these trade rumors fans heard from MLB analysts.
However, the Red Sox are putting a stop to these rumors.
A source close to ESPN analyst Jeff Passan tells him that the Red Sox and Devers are completing an 11-year deal.

With a deal worth $331 million, it’s an enormous price to pay for the star third baseman.
While the deal isn’t final yet, no one sees Devers going anywhere else.
The 26-year-old made his MLB debut back in 2017 with the Red Sox, meaning this deal potentially makes him a Red Sox for life.
Since coming into the league, he has two consecutive All-Star appearances (2021-22) and a Silver Slugger Award.
His career batting average of .283 shows how he can make contact and get on base.
While 2022 was an off year for him with RBIs, his batting average was on the uptick.
With him being 26-years-old, the Red Sox are securing this young talent at the right time.
He’s a player who’s heading into the best years of his career, which will help the Red Sox in 2023 and beyond.
While the other 29 MLB teams wanted the star third baseman, the Red Sox and their fans are happy to have him for the next 11 years.
