The Philadelphia Phillies have ridden their magical playoff run to the World Series.
Almost no one thought they would get this far as they were the final NL team to make the playoffs.
Now that they have made it this far, they mine as well win it.
Here are three reasons the Phillies could pull off the upset in the Fall Classic.
1. Bryce Harper
The Phillies have one key advantage over Houston in this series.
That is the best player in the series is on their team, Bryce Harper.
Harper has been on a historic postseason run, which includes him hitting .419.

The former two-time MVP has even hit five home runs and has an OPS of 1.351.
Harper is a special player and he will need to carry the Phillies one more time.
2. Ride The Momentum
The Phillies have won the first game of every series so far.
They will need to do that again to put themselves in a great position in the World Series.
Some players like Jean Segura, Bryson Stott, and Rhys Hoskins have stepped up in the playoffs, and the Phillies will need that again.

You could argue that the Phillies are the most confident team in this series.
The Phillies have one of the best fan bases in the sport and playing at home for them is a huge advantage.
Even though they are betting underdogs, the Phillies do not see it that way.
3. Team Of Destiny?
What the Phillies have done this postseason is something that we rarely see in baseball.
Entering the playoffs as an 86-win wild card team, it seemed likely they would exit in the first round.
But, under the guidance of manager Rob Thomson, this Phillies team just continues to win.
There just seems to be a certain magic around the Fightins’ that they can ride to four more wins.
