The Tampa Bay Rays had a night to forget on Tuesday when they faced off against the Los Angeles Angels for the second game of a three-game set.
Angels’ rookie Reid Detmers was locked in from the get-go and completely dominated a normally very powerful Tampa Bay lineup, throwing the 12th no-hitter in Angels’ history.
It’s safe to say that absolutely nothing went right for the Rays on Tuesday night as they fell by a final of 12-0.
But sometimes, even in the midst of adversity, you can find a little humor, and such was the case after the game when the team sent out a hilarious tweet referencing the song “Crank That” by the rapper Soulja Boy.
There will be times in life where you crank that Soulja boy and there will be other times where that Soulja boy cranks you. pic.twitter.com/DdHGOdPh0i

Having Some Fun On Twitter
Well played, Rays.
Sometimes you just have to tip your cap and the team did just that but did it in the most hilarious way possible.
That “Soulja Boy” certainly “cranked” the Rays last night.
Detmers had his best stuff against one of the toughest lineups in all of baseball and put on an unforgettable show for the Angels and their fans.
But you have to appreciate the humor in the Rays’ tweet.
They aren’t hiding from the fact that they got absolutely leveled last night by Detmers and the Angels.
You’ve got to appreciate the honesty, too.
It just wasn’t the Rays’ night.
Sometimes, teams will have clunkers and the Rays had theirs last night.
But it’s good to see the Rays taking it in stride and not complaining.
They know that last night was a tough night, but it didn’t stop the social media team from having some fun, even in the midst of being no-hit.
