Predictably, the Baltimore Ravens season came to an early end.
It actually ended when Lamar Jackson suffered a complex knee injury that has kept him off the gridiron for the past month-and-a-half.
Even so, against all odds, they still had a chance to tie their exciting Wild Card game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and there were stretches where they actually had them against the wall.
So, one could only assume that their chances would’ve been much better with Jackson on the field, and some fans, analysts, and even Michael Vick thought he should’ve forced his body to be out there on Sunday night.
That’s why Ravens star Marlon Humphrey came to Jackson’s defense, revealing that he’s not even able to walk straight right now:
“I don’t even know if I should say this, but he’s like limping around the facility,” Humphrey told Ravens insider Jamison Hensley. “That’s kind of the crazy thing that people don’t see.”
Marlon Humphrey said Lamar Jackson wasn't healthy enough to play, estimating him at 50 to 60%.

Some people have been quick to question Jackson’s commitment to the organization, stating that all he’s thinking about is his impending contract extension or free agency.
While that may or may not be the case, it wouldn’t exactly be a questionable approach from the former MVP.
We’ve seen players jeopardize their careers over and over, and Jackson is doing the right thing by waiting here.
If you don’t take our word for it, just remember what happened to Robert Griffin III’s career after putting a brace on his knee and playing through injury.
