Mark Andrews has been a revelation for the Baltimore Ravens.
He led the team in receiving last season with 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns.
Those numbers earned him his first All-Pro and second Pro Bowl selections.
It’s also his first 1,000-yard season, and it’s highly possible that it won’t be the last.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson might look for him even more, especially with the Ravens having an inexperienced receiving corps after trading Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals.
Speaking of Jackson, the Ravens tight end shared his thoughts regarding the quarterback’s contract situation.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley tweeted, “Mark Andrews on “Get Up” when asked if Lamar Jackson’s contract situation will be a distraction: ‘Lamar approaches football in a different light. He’s a focused dude. He cares about winning.'”
“Everything that’s happened this offseason with the contract and stuff like that, no one’s even heard about it from him. He’s a true pro, and treats it the right way. He cares about this team this year in what we can do. I know Lamar’s locked in. I know he’s focused and he’s not gonna let any of that contract stuff affect his play,” Andrews added about the former league MVP.
Where The Ravens-Jackson Negotiations Stand
The team reportedly offered more guaranteed money than what Kyler Murray received in his latest contract extension.
However, the self-represented Jackson pushed for a fully-guaranteed contract like what Deshaun Watson signed with the Cleveland Browns.
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti wouldn’t green light a fully-guaranteed deal, but chances are that they have improved their offer.
Likewise, Russell Wilson‘s recent extension might have dampened Jackson’s hopes of getting a Watson-like contract.
With their season opener just five days away, both sides would like to get a deal done before they take on the New York Jets.
