There is much optimism with the Baltimore Ravens now that Lamar Jackson has recovered from his ankle injury.
It’s that setback that forced him to miss time, while his absence helped initiate a six-game losing streak.
If not for that crashing end, the Ravens could have made the playoffs.
But without their leader, it’s difficult to see them achieving any success.
They now look forward to the 2022 season which they will play without Marquise Brown, who was traded to the Arizona Cardinals.
However, they must keep on fighting with who they have, and wide receiver Rashod Bateman should have a breakout season.
The first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft is now the team’s split end, which is often involved in deep plays.
Still, his success hinges on whether Jackson will find him open most of the time.
Yet Bateman is just happy knowing that the 2019 MVP is back.
yo I seen Lamar Jackson today , he good🤣

To which, Bateman tweeted, “Yo I seen Lamar Jackson today, he good.”
Jackson is indeed good, especially if you consider versatility as a criterion.
Aside from his ability to complete passes, the quarterback’s sting is in his running game.
He could have had another 1,000-yard season from the ground if not for his injury.
Bateman Must Also Step Up
In his rookie year, the former Minnesota standout finished with 46 receptions for 515 yards and a touchdown.
Those numbers are understandable, considering Brown was the top target and Jackson has to unleash their run offense as well.
But with Brown gone, Bateman should elevate his production to keep the Ravens from becoming a one-dimensional offense.
He could easily break the 1,000-receiving-yard barrier, given that he will be targeted more.
Therefore, he must prepare himself to be great when the need arises.
