The Baltimore Ravens drafted Lamar Jackson in 2018 and have developed him into one of the most electrifying athletes in the NFL.
He won an MVP award in his second season in the league and has been a staple of the Ravens offense ever since.
The Ravens are yet to sign Jackson to a long-term deal, and in the process, also haven’t signed any additional receiving weapons.
Lamar Jackson won a Heisman in 2016 without a single WR who’s a starter in the NFL
He won MVP with a WR corps Hollywood Brown, Seth Roberts, Miles Boykin and Willie Snead
All I want is to see him in a true pass scheme with legitimate weapons. Is that too much to ask?

In 2016, Jackson won the Heisman trophy with limited weapons, which was a similar story when he won MVP in 2019.
As Katy Santander puts it, “Is that too much to ask?”
Even though the Ravens have been successful in the regular season under Jackson, they have yet to make a splash in the postseason, winning just one of their past four appearances.
Like Santander, many around the NFL have wondered how much better Jackson and the Ravens could be if there were more weapons at his disposal.
This is a similar problem that Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady have faced in their respective careers.
Although Brady has done well without elite weapons, Rodgers has just one Super Bowl title next to his name in the record books.
In the case of Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers haven’t even drafted a wide receiver in the first round during his tenure.
Not surrounding Jackson with weapons could be catastrophic for the Ravens’ future.
Will Jackson even re-sign with the team if they do not make an effort to acquire any additional weapons?
This offseason should answer a lot of questions about the state of the Ravens organization, and how they will decide to move forward.
