LeBron James is one game away from capturing his fourth NBA Championship.
James is also one game away from making history in the NBA, being the only player to win three championships with three different times.
Of course, the only time a team came down from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to win was LeBron James in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While the Heat have shown their resiliency throughout the NBA bubble, most are counting them out thinking the Lakers will close them out in Game 5 tonight.
Well, Rick Ross, believes in his Miami Heat.
So much so, that he thinks they will come back and win the series.
Rick Ross Believes In “Jimmy Jesus”
Miami native Rick Ross joined ESPN’s First Take this week and had quite the praise for his Miami Heat
During his lengthy segment on the show, Rick Ross elaborated on why he feels the Heat have what it takes to overcome the 3-1 lead.
“Don’t be surprised if Jimmy Jesus brings it home”, is what the rap star stated, of coursing, referencing Heat F Jimmy Butler.
Rick Ross went on to add the following:
“I’ve watched Lebron do this before. I’ve seen him ahead two games and lose the series. I’m talking Finals guys. We’ve seen this. We’ve got a young team. Young Bam. We got Herro. Come on man, we got Robinson and the Dragon, come on man, Jimmy Jesus.”
Ross developed quite the nickname for Jimmy Butler as he claims the city of Miami “loves him”.
It’s been mentioned before how Jimmy Butler and Pat Riley were a match made in heaven as both exude hard work and want to accomplish things the right way.
They want to create a competitive culture in Miami and thus far, it has worked as the young guys on this team have stepped up on this incredible run.
But, keep in mind that in order for the Heat to begin this comeback, they have to defeat the Black Mamba jerseys tonight, which is something that hasn’t happened yet.
LeBron James Does Not Want To Ever Blow Another Lead
The series that Rick Ross was referring to, was the 2011 NBA Finals in which the Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks.
Although the Heat never had a 2 game lead over the Mavericks, they did blow an early game in the series where they had a double digit lead in the second half.
LeBron has touched upon that series in these NBA Finals.
Lakers’ LeBron James said he was focused on closing out Finals Game 1 vs. Heat because of memories of blown lead from 2011 Finals Game 2 vs. Mavericks: “That s—- burns me to this day.” pic.twitter.com/5SNQalV78c

The Lakers are one win away from closing this series out and LeBron James will not celebrate until this is officially over.
The Heat will be hard to close out, but if this Lakers team sticks to the formula of good rebounding creating second chance points and good defense, they should have no problem in finishing the Heat off.
Tonight, we will see what Jimmy “Jesus” is truly made of.
