The first four weeks of the NFL 2022 season saw some impressive QB play.
While some QBs have given fans a shocking look into greatness, other old faces are showing they are still the best.
So who are the current top three QBs in the NFL so far in 2022?
3. Tom Brady
While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-2, Brady is showing he’s getting back into the groove in Tampa.
His game against the Kansas City Chiefs saw him post his best numbers of this season.
In the loss to the Chiefs, Brady passed for 385 yards and three touchdowns.
.@RealSkipBayless' biggest reason for the Chiefs win over the Bucs:
"That Todd Bowles defense gave up the most rushing yards it has ever given up in 4 years. Tom Brady threw for 385 yards, completed 75% of his passes and went 4/4 in the Red Zone…These are winning numbers." pic.twitter.com/7OR31Av01S

While his numbers weren’t enough to get his team the win, it is enough to put him back into the race as a top-tier QB in 2022.
His 1058 total passing yards rank him eighth overall and his one interception ties him for second among qualified QBs.
However, many point to how his age will affect him this season.
But after the game he had against the Chiefs defense, it’s clear Brady still has the magic to be the best.
2. Patrick Mahomes
While some may debate about how Mahomes is the best, he’s not there just yet.
However, he’s clearly a top-three QB this season with his 1,106 passing yards for the season.
What hurts him is his 66.4% completion percentage for the season, which ranks him ninth among qualified QBs.
Patrick Mahomes — #NFL ranks
Completion rate — 66.4% (9th)
Pass yards — 1,106 (6th)
TD passes — 11 (t-1st)
TD% — 7.5 (2nd)
INT% — 1.4 (7th)
YPA — 7.6 (8th)
Rating — 108.4 (2nd)Did I mention he doesn't have Tyreek Hill?#Chiefs #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/fisdXiJbkL

But he ranks second in QB rating and TD percentage, things that are a tremendous help for him and his team.
His 11 touchdowns this season are also something that is putting him in a tie with Jared Goff for most passing TDs.
However, it’s him doing all this in his first season without Tyreek Hill around.
Hill was that safety blanket for him, as he could easily outrun defenders and catch the deep ball.
But even without Hill, Mahomes is finding a way this season to stay on top.
1. Josh Allen
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is showing this year why people should put him before Mahomes and Brady in talks over the best QB this season.
He currently ranks second in passing yards and fourth in touchdowns.
His three interceptions are also impressive, as protecting the ball is key for him in the future.
While one of those interceptions was off his receiver, the low numbers show he’s hanging with the best.

However, he’s also making moves with his legs, rushing for 183 yards and two rushing TDs this season.
While Mahomes is normally the one people think can rush for TDs, it’s Allen who’s producing those rushing touchdowns.
He’s proving to be an all-round QB, much better than other QBs who also run with the ball.
With the Bills seen as Super Bowl favorites, the pressure is on Allen to keep performing at an elite level.
So far, he’s doing everything right to start off the NFL 2022 season with a 3-1 record.
