The Texas Rangers may have somewhat of a new look next year after hiring three-time World Series Champion Bruce Bochy to manage their team.
Fans and players alike are excited for a new era in Rangers baseball.
Texas finished 68-94 in 2022 and fell short of the postseason for the sixth straight season.
But the hire of Bochy seems to be generating positive responses around Arlington.
Marcus Semien is certainly excited to have Bochy at the helm next season.
Semien spoke with Emily Jones of Bally Sports Southwest on Monday to discuss the hire, and he had nothing but good things to say about the 67-year-old Bochy.
"I think it was the perfect hire…experience is something we need right now based off of our season last year."

Semien Excited To Play Under Bochy
Semien also touched on the fact that he grew up a fan of the San Francisco Giants, who Bochy won his three rings with.
Semien talked about how inspiring it was for him to watch Bochy manage the Giants to those rings with rosters that paled in comparison to others on paper.
Bochy’s first ring with the Giants came in 2010 against the Rangers.
The Giants won again in 2012 and 2014.
Bochy obviously brings great winning experience to a Rangers team that hasn’t tasted the postseason in quite some time.
Semien is clearly excited about that, and also mentioned that his family, which still roots for the Giants, were in touch with him about the Bochy hire and expressed excitement for him to get the opportunity to play under Bochy.
The Rangers have some work to do this offseason, but with a new voice in the clubhouse, things may be different next season.
