The Los Angeles Rams gave up most of their draft capital to become the juggernaut they were a couple of years ago.
They stacked as many talented players as they could, regardless of their salary, age, or how many draft picks they would have to give up.
And while that’s not the most common strategy in professional sports, it surely paid off, with them winning Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Notably, however, that’s not a formula that’s bound to last for a long time.
With that in mind, star CB Jalen Ramsey seemingly hinted at the possibility of leaving shortly after the end of the season, a rumor that hasn’t gone away ever since.
Recently, NFL insider Bridget Condon reached out to Rams COO Kevin Demoff, inquiring about Ramsey’s future with the league.
And while he didn’t exactly confirm that the team is ready to move on from him, his rather bleak response makes us think that the team is leaning toward that decision:
“People are always inquiring about our talent, and it’s not just Jalen (Ramsey),” Demoff said. “We get calls on all of our good players all of the time. In the next few months, we’ll see which direction this team goes.”
“I think for all of our players, it’s going to be about figuring out what’s best moving forward,” Demoff added. “But could not be more grateful for Jalen for what he’s done for the Rams leading this defense.”
Are the #Rams going to trade Jalen Ramsey?

Ramsey then fueled the fire by taking to Twitter to assure he wasn’t getting cut by the team, adding that a trade was a real possibility.
Ramsey is bound to make $17 million in base salary next season, and the Rams are in a bit of a tough spot, salary cap-wise.
He made 17 starts for them in their disappointing campaign as defending champions, logging his first two career sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and four interceptions, but he’s not getting any younger and we all know how ruthless this game can be.
