The Las Vegas Raiders have made some major moves to help them compete better this season.
They have hired offensive-minded mentor Josh McDaniels as head coach after helping the New England Patriots win six Super Bowl titles.
The Raiders also gave contract extensions to defensive end Maxx Crosby, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, and quarterback Derek Carr.
They also brought in Chandler Jones, who had 10.5 sacks and six forced fumbles last season.
Finally, the Raiders traded for All-Pro wideout Davante Adams and signed him to a five-year, $141 million deal.
These developments should excite Raiders fans about their team’s chances in 2022.
But if those moves are not enough, the team shared a hype video with the caption “The Autumn Wind is approaching.”

“The Autumn Wind” is adapted from Mary Jane Carr’s “Pirate Wind” and was narrated by the late John Facenda in 1974.
Since then, the team has used it as some sort of a battle cry as they play it before home games.
“How sweet it is once a football is in the air. Can you feel it?” the video’s narrator said while images of Allegiant Stadium and clips from training camp were being shown.
“Pads fitting, helmet shined, uniforms crisp as they will ever be. The Autumn Wind is approaching,” the narrator added.
The video also gave props to the team’s new additions to the roster and the front office.
The clip ended with the narrator saying the late Al Davis’ immortal line, “just win, baby.”
Grueling Start For Raiders
Before their bye in Week 6, the Raiders will face teams that have strong playoff hopes.
After opening the season against the Los Angeles Chargers, they will play at home versus the Arizona Cardinals.
They will be on the road for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans and back at home in Week 4 versus the Denver Broncos.
The Raiders will face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 5 before their one-week break.
