The New York Jets are doing their best to build a competitive roster.
Making the move to bring in Aaron Rodgers was the last piece they needed to get back to the playoffs.
Or at least that is the hope for many Jets fans.
The Jets still wanted to make sure they have a few cornerstone players locked up for the long term.
One of those players is defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
The Jets recently agreed to a four-year, $96 million contract extension with Williams.
One of their best defensive players will now be in New York for years to come.
According to the Jets’ Twitter page, Williams is thrilled to be back with the team.
Feels good to be home.

Last season, Williams was named first-team All-Pro after a career-high 12.0 sacks.
He finished seventh in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
After 15.5 sacks in his first three seasons, Williams looked like a different player last year.
He was the most important defensive lineman on a new and improved Jets defense.
New York has everything in place to make a run at the Super Bowl this upcoming season.
If Rodgers can perform like the MVP quarterback they expect this team will be very good.
The AFC is as tough as it has ever been.
There are four or five teams who could all compete for the number one seed in the conference.
With the new and improved Jets, this upcoming season should be a great one in the NFL.
