On the field, Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder and slugger Mookie Betts is one of the best players to ever compete in Major League Baseball.
Off the field, he’s still one of the best, but in another sport.
When he’s not playing baseball, Betts is usually enjoying his favorite hobby, that being bowling.
But it’s more than just a hobby.
The former MVP is quite good at bowling and enjoys the competition.
In fact, he is attempting to qualify for the Professional Bowling Association’s US Open at Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis.
Better yet, he is reportedly tied with the No. 1 bowler in the world.

Who knew that Betts was such a good bowler?
Professional athletes tend to be skilled in many aspects.
For Betts, that second skill is bowling.
Obviously, there are rare cases of athletes playing multiple sports at a professional level such as Deion Sanders.
But when Betts isn’t out winning MVPs, Gold Gloves, or Silver Slugger Awards, he is at the bowling alley perfecting his skill as a bowler and attempting to go big in another sport.
And if what they say is true and he’s currently tied with the top bowler in the world, he certainly has a good chance of making something happen and becoming a rare two-sport professional athlete.
The entire baseball world will watch with great interest as Betts continues to perfect his skill as a bowler and knock down strikes.
We’ll see if he can make it big as a bowler and dominate in the lanes just as he does on the baseball field.
