Derek Jeter was a New York Yankees legend.
Even young kids starting to watch and become familiar with MLB know that Jeter was, and still is, a Yankees icon even though he retired in 2014.
The Captain, as he is called, is a Hall of Famer and a true ambassador of the game.
Most people love him, some hate him, but everybody knows his name.
MLB The Show, perhaps the world’s most famous baseball video game, recently announced Jazz Chisholm as the cover athlete of the 2023 edition.
But the video game franchise has another surprise in store for fans, especially Jeter fans.

The design is very, very attractive: Jeter is portrayed throwing a ball as if he was flying, with Yankee Stadium below him and surrounded by building in New York.
One of the most popular players ever to step on a baseball field, Jeter achieved everything there was to achieve as a player.
He won five World Series, went to 14 All-Star Games, won the 1996 AL Rookie of the Year award, the 2000 World Series MVP, five Silver Sluggers, and five Gold Gloves.
He also set a series of playoff records that earned him the nickname “Mr. November.”
The game’s developer explained the details of the Collector’s Edition and the cover design.
“Derek Jeter needed an epic cover, and we wanted to show him in a new light. With that in mind we tasked visual artist Sanford Greene to present Derek in a fresh new perspective. Derek’s career as a Yankee is larger than life and his cover literally has him jumping out of Yankee Stadium. Can you spot all the Easter eggs in the cover? We’re thrilled with the cover art and are so happy that we finally get to show the results of this collaboration.”
Baseball fans will be in for a treat with the new Collector’s Edition.
