The Philadelphia Phillies returned home for Game 3 of the World Series after splitting the first two games with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.
Last night, the Phillies wasted no time jumping on Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr., knocking him out in the fifth inning after touching him for seven runs.
Needless to say, the crowd in Philadelphia was loving it and they made sure that the Astros heard it.
After the game, right fielder Nick Castellanos was asked about the atmosphere in Philadelphia for Game 3 on Tuesday night.
“It’s second to none man,” said Castellanos. “The only thing I can compare it to is a European soccer game.”

“It’s tough to play here, man. I can’t imagine what it’s like for the Astros right now. They have zero breathing room”

Castellanos Praises Phillies Faithful
Castellanos went on to say that he couldn’t imagine what it must’ve been like for the Astros to hear Phillies fans jeering them all night long.
But one thing is for sure.
The Philadelphia crowd showed up in full force and was behind the Phillies right from the start.
Castellanos himself picked up one of the Phillies’ seven hits as they jumped on the Astros early and didn’t look back, holding on for a 7-0 victory to put themselves ahead 2-1 in the World Series.
Now, the Phillies are closing in on potentially clinching their first World Series title since 2008.
The crowd will certainly be out in full force tonight for Game 4 as the Phillies send ace Aaron Nola to the mound in hopes of taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.
First pitch is at 8:03 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Astros will counter with Cristian Javier.
