The Philadelphia Phillies are having a bad start to the season.
After making the World Series last year the Phillies were expected to be contenders again this season.
Instead, the Phillies have struggled both at the plate and on the mound.
One of the starting pitchers that has not figured it out this season is Taijuan Walker.
The Phillies signed Walker to a massive contract this offseason.
But he has not pitched well.
His most recent outing was against his former team, the New York Mets.
Walker pitched four innings and gave up two hits with three earned runs.
According to Matt Gelb, Walker said: “I just couldn’t get it going.”
Both Rob Thomson and Taijuan Walker said there is nothing physically wrong with the pitcher despite his diminished velocity and errant command. "I just couldn't get it going," Walker said.

Walker has been unable to get it going all season long.
He has started 12 games this season and has thrown 57.1 innings over that span.
Also, his ERA is 5.65.
The Phillies are already a man short in their starting rotation, so sitting Walker down is not much of an option.
They just have to hope he can pitch his way out of the funk he is in.
As for the Phillies, they are 25-31 on the year and are in fourth place in the NL East.
Last season they found themselves in a similar spot and then took off after firing Joe Girardi.
But, the Phillies just signed manager Rob Thomson to a long-term contract.
There is no way they will let him go without giving him a full season.
But some changes will have to be made to give this team a wake-up call.
