Game 2 of the NLDS between the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies may be impacted by some inclement weather.
At the moment, rain is falling in Atlanta, and many are speculating that the game could be postponed until Thursday.
The Phillies won Game 1 by a final of 7-6 and will send their ace Zack Wheeler to the mound opposite Kyle Wright.
Phillies manager Rob Thomson weighed in on the situation and stated that he believes they won’t start play unless they are sure that they can get the game in without any weather-related interruptions.
Rob Thomson said the consensus is they will not start Game 2 unless they believe they can finish it without interruption.

Thomson Comments On Game 2
This is not a good sign for baseball fans, especially those with tickets to Game 2.
If the game does indeed happen, then it should be a very exciting pitcher’s duel between two of the top starters in the National League.
But based on what Thomson is saying, it seems as if the game may not happen at all today, and that it will be pushed back to Thursday.
Thursday was meant to be a travel day as the series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3 and possibly Game 4, depending on how Game 2 plays out.
But with rain falling in Atlanta and Thomson offering his perspective on the situation, it appears as if there will be a delay that lasts until all the rain is gone.
That could be the best possible outcome, depending on if and when the rain is scheduled to stop.
If not, then it’s very possible that Game 2 could put on hold and take place tomorrow instead.
The game is scheduled to start at 4:37 p.m. Eastern Time.
