Winning a pennant is not something you see every day if you follow a baseball team.
The Philadelphia Phillies, for example, have won eight pennants and they have played 140 seasons.
Yes, it’s extremely hard.
For such a passionate fan base, being the best team in the National League has a lot of value, even though it’s not quite a World Series triumph.
Fans are certainly ecstatic and grateful they got to see their team taking down three favorites en route to their eighth World Series appearances: the St. Louis Cardinals, the Atlanta Braves, and the San Diego Padres.
That’s why they broke merchandise-related records after taking the NL Championship Series.
“The Phillies set a 24-hour record for League Championship winner merchandise sales on @Fanatics following their clinch Sunday night to advance to the World Series. The previous 24-hour record was held by the 2016 Cubs after they defeated the Dodgers in the NLCS,” reporter and memorabilia collector Darren Rovell tweeted.

Can The Phillies Shock The World And Win?
The Phillies just broke the record previously held by another passionate, thirsty fanbase: the 2016 Cubs.
Now, no organization has sold more League Championship Series winner merchandise in a 24-hour period than the 2022 Phillies.
If you believe in such a thing, they may be 2022”s team of destiny.
They better be if they want to have any chance to beat the Houston Astros in the series.
Philadelphia is a good ball club that is on an incredible postseason run.
The Astros are an elite team that had been in such form for at least six years and counting.
Will the Phillies have enough magic left to outclass the Astros?
