It always sucks when baseball season comes to an end.
Fans have to wait a few months before any games are played or players even report to spring training.
But that doesn’t mean that baseball can’t get exciting during the offseason.
When free agency begins, a lot takes place.
The phones are buzzing similarly to how they do at the trade deadline.
Marquee players are out on the market looking for new contracts.
One of the top impending free agents is Trea Turner.
It’s looking very likely that he will not return to the Los Angeles Dodgers, but there could be a team in the NL East that might be in play for him.
One sports betting site has the Philadelphia Phillies listed as the favorites to land him this offseason.
Interesting. @betonline_ag has the Phillies as the FAVORITES to land Trea Turner in free agency this off-season. pic.twitter.com/Kaxd8I22d0

Turner To Philly?
The Phillies finally found their groove when they dismissed Joe Girardi, and their nucleus of players that features Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins, Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos, J.T. Realmuto, Aaron Nola, and Zack Wheeler finally took off.
Adding Turner to the mix would instantly make the Phillies World Series favorites.
It could bring back the glory days from 2007-11, when they won five straight NL East titles and made it to the World Series twice, winning it all in 2008.
Imagine a lineup that features Turner, Harper, Castellanos, Schwarber, Realmuto, and Hoskins.
That would be an unstoppable force.
It would obviously also reunite Turner with Harper.
The two were teammates with the Washington Nationals from 2015-18.
It would be incredibly hard to imagine the Phillies not taking the NL East if Turner joined them.
Facing them would be no easy task.
There’s still a lot of time before free agency though, and we’ll have to wait and see how everything plays out.
