The Philadelphia Phillies have been going with a top-six consisting of Kyle Schwarber, Rhys Hoskins, J.T. Realmuto, Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, and Alec Bohm for the postseason.
That consistency has helped them get where they currently are: in the World Series against one of the best teams in the league, the Houston Astros.
Most of those hitters are currently producing, most notably Schwarber and Harper.
However, the situation with Castellanos is starting to become hard to stomach from a performance standpoint.
He made some hard contact at one point last night, but made the last out on a weak grounder and has been struggling all postseason.
Castellanos Has Been Struggling All Year Long
To be really honest, he has been struggling all year, which is baffling because he slugged 34 home runs, drove in 100 runs and hit .309 last season.
A Phillies analyst is vowing for Thomson to move Castellanos down in the order, and he may have a case there.
“I get Rob Thomson is big on “trusting his guys” and what not but he needs to switch up the lineup for Game 6. Move Harper back up to third. Move Casty way down. Can’t just trot out the same offense again and expect different results to magically take place,” David Esser tweeted.

In over more than 500 plate appearances in the regular season, Castellanos hit a meager .263/.305/.389.
He has been even worse in the playoffs, with a .197/.246/.262 line and some ugly swings and misses.
Now that Jean Segura appears to be making better contact, perhaps Thomson should consider moving Castellanos down.
That way, he could take some pressure off his shoulders and he may start producing.
