Throughout the 2022 NFL regular season, fans across the league have been treated to elite quarterback play, with many players at the position taking a gigantic leap in production from the year prior.
However, with great play, comes great contracts.
The better a quarterback performs when they are on the field, the more value that they provide their team, which drives up their price in the offseason.
There are three marquee free-agent quarterbacks, two of which are due for a big payday.

Lamar Jackson, Geno Smith, and Tom Brady are those three quarterbacks.
Let’s start with Brady.
Brady will enter the 2023 season at 46 years old.
While he will not command long-term, high-value contracts like Smith and Jackson, his experience of seven Super Bowls is desirable for any team, even if they get Brady for just one season.
Smith, on the other hand, has the opportunity to get his first multi-year, high-dollar-amount contract.
He is only 32 years old and based on his incredible performance this season with the Seattle Seahawks, Smith will likely be a highly sought-after quarterback in the offseason.
Even though Smith’s performance was remarkable, he has not had the sustained, long-term success that Jackson has found, who will likely garner one of, if not the largest contracts in league history.
Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have been in talks about a contract for over a year, but nothing has come to fruition yet.
If they aren’t careful, Jackson could find himself on a new team in 2023.
