The NFL is loaded with a bunch of top-tier quarterbacks.
It seems like each season a few new quarterbacks emerge into great players.
That was no different in 2022.
We saw Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Geno Smith all take a massive step forward.
Hurts finished second in NFL MVP voting, while Smith revived his career and led the Seahawks to the playoffs.
Tagovailoa, while often injured, was very good for Miami in the games he played.
Pro Football Focus revealed their top nine starting quarterbacks from this past season.
The top of the list should be no surprise to many.

At the top, we see Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.
Each was once again elite in 2022 and continues to show why they are franchise changers.
Mahomes won league MVP for the second time and capped off his season with his second Super Bowl win.
The rest of the quarterbacks in the league will continue to chase Mahomes at the top.
Joe Burrow is the one quarterback who has had the most success against Mahomes.
He has only lost to him once and last came in the AFC Championship last season.
The Chiefs and Bengals should have many great battles over the next decade.
Also, you notice how six of the nine quarterbacks on the list are from the AFC.
That conference is loaded with great signal callers, and players like Justin Herbert and Deshaun Watson were not mentioned.
The NFL is in great hands at quarterback, as these guys will only continue to get better.NEXT: Surprising Details Are Emerging About Lamar Jackson And The Ravens
