Peter Schrager Names His Most Disappointing NFL Team In 2021

The 2021 NFL season is only six weeks old and there are already some major disappointments throughout the league.

Entering Week 6, two winless teams remained: The Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.

While the former lost, the latter pulled off a thrilling win in London over the Miami Dolphins.

The final now has the Jaguars and Dolphins sitting with 1-5 records, but only one team is happy about that reality.

The Dolphins won 10 games last season and were supposed to take another step forward with Tua Tagovailoa morphing into a franchise quarterback.

He instead got hurt early this season and could not lead his team to victory Sunday over the winless Jaguars.

That has NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager naming Miami this year’s biggest disappointment.

"The Dolphins are the most disappointing team in the NFL in 2021."

Schrager tossed up the thought to his fellow co-hosts on Good Morning Football and received some interesting takes in return.

Analyzing The Situation In Miami

Cris Carter had the most interesting response to Schrager’s point.

He went as far as to say the Dolphins should trade Tagovailoa for Deshaun Watson, along with a package of picks.

In a perfect world, that would be an easy move.

But Watson still has a legal situation hanging over his head, which is potentially why the Dolphins have not pulled the trigger on such a trade to this point.

The fact the Dolphins are not sold on Tua as their franchise guy is a problem.

Rumors leaked before the start of the season that ownership wanted Watson and that right there set the tone for the year.

To be fair, Tagovailoa threw for over 300 yards and had two touchdowns against the Jaguars.

So the loss cannot solely be placed on his shoulders.

Yet all fans care about is the record and the Dolphins are already dealing with a lost season in Week 7.
