The Philadelphia Eagles had one of the best offseasons in recent NFL memory.
GM Howie Roseman made the most of his numerous assets to address every point of emphasis the team had, bolstering the roster on both sides of the field.
They made a big commitment to Jalen Hurts, not going after a quarterback and actually giving him yet another elite weapon in A.J. Brown.
Hurts paid that confidence back with the best season of his career, and the Eagles were an unstoppable force from start to finish this season.
Now, however, they’re set to face their toughest challenge yet, as they’ll host a red-hot San Francisco 49ers team that also boasts plenty of talent on both sides of the field.
That’s why NFL analyst Peter Schrager believes the biggest X-factor for the Eagles won’t even be on the field this Sunday.
At least, not wearing pads.
And no, he’s not talking about the diehard Eagles fans who’ll try and make Niners’ players lives miserable at Lincoln Financial Field, but about two members of Nick Sirianni’s coaching staff: Defensive Assistant Tyler Scudder, and Assistant DBs coach D.K. McDonald.
Schrager explained how they both know each other from their days working for the Iowa State Cyclones from 2016-2021.
Why does that matter?
Well, Niners QB Brock Purdy happened to play for the Cyclones as well, so they should know better than anyone how to get under his skin, make him uncomfortable, and get out of rhythm.

That’s not a far-fetched take at all, as Purdy has been unfazed during the start of his NFL career, so any piece of information on him could be crucial ahead of the biggest game of the season for the Eagles.
Will Mr. Irrelevant be able to overcome that as well?
We’ll have to wait and see.
