With the 2023 NFL season set to get underway in a few weeks, all sorts of predictions are being made about all 32 teams in the league and what may happen throughout the regular season.
Many of those conversations start with the most important positions on the field, with most team’s having success because they have a good or elite quarterback under center.
One team that went through a drastic change at the quarterback position during the NFL offseason was the New Orleans Saints, as they felt it was time to seek an upgrade at the position and chose to bring in former Las Vegas Raiders starter Derek Carr.
On an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” recently, Peter King of NBC Sports was asked which quarterback in the NFL is not getting talked about enough right now with the start of the season right around the corner, and he believes it’s Carr.

After an ugly divorce with the Raiders, which resulted in the longtime starter getting benched before the end of the season, Carr was released by the team that originally drafted him and signed with the Saints not long after becoming a free agent.
Although it was a bittersweet move for Carr, he seems to have already won over the coaching staff in New Orleans, which includes a former Raiders head coach in Dennis Allen, as they have been raving about the veteran quarterback, according to King.
King believes there could be another tight end connection with Carr compared to the one he had with Darren Waller in Las Vegas, as he mentioned Juwan Johnson as someone that could benefit from the arrival of the veteran quarterback.
So Carr will have a chance to resurrect his career in New Orleans and might be a player to watch moving forward.NEXT: Bengals HC Offers Promising Joe Burrow Update
