Unless there is a major change of heart, it’s very likely that Myles Turner won’t be playing with the Indiana Pacers for much longer.
Pacers front office head Kevin Pritchard is supposedly very intent on blowing the team up and trading away just about anyone in the hopes of rebuilding the team with a new roster of talent.
If that happens, it means the center will be leaving the team and heading elsewhere in the NBA.
Turner is a bonafide unit, a terrific basketball player, and a wonderful defender.
He has been putting up such impressive numbers this season so it’s only a matter of time before another team jumps at the chance to trade for him.

Which teams are the best fit for the talented big man?
3. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers need help with…well, just about everything but most especially with their defensive output.
It’s crazy to think that just a few years ago, LA had the best defense in the league.
That definitely isn’t the case now.
However, Turner would be a perfect fit for the Lakers and would immediately turn around their lacking defense.
Imagine going up against Turner alongside Anthony Davis down in the post – that’s a scary thought.
Now add LeBron James into the mix, making plays and taking shots.
It’s no surprise that LA has been constantly in the rumor mill when talks of Turner have emerged – they desperately want him.
The Lakers want to establish themselves as legitimate title contenders this season and have has engaged in trade talks with the Pacers for Myles Turner.

Thinking of Turner in LA is enough to get any Lakers fan excited.
2. Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers have a lot of problems and one of their most consistent issues is their defense.
That’s why Turner would be such an incredible addition to the team.
The Trail Blazers have been a rumored landing spot for Ben Simmons, another defensive force, which just goes to show how much Portland is focusing on improving defense.
Turner would be a huge get for the team because it could really help them ensure at least a few more seasons with Damian Lillard, who is reportedly growing very unhappy with the direction of his team.
If they get Turner, they keep Lillard – it’s as simple as that.
That’s enough of a reason to move heaven and Earth to land the Turner.
1. Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets want to make it to the NBA Finals this year and will do just about anything to make that happen.
Before they can meet their goal, they need to get through the Eastern Conference Finals and, possibly, the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Nets have no chance of beating the Bucks if they don’t find a way to shut down Giannis Antetokounmpo.
One of the best, smartest ways to do that is to land Turner, one of the few players who can actually shut down Antetokounmpo at times.
If Turner went to Brooklyn, it would make the team that much better and likely good enough to take the Eastern Conference Finals and maybe even the NBA Finals too.
The Nets are already darn good and Turner would make them better than that: it would make them straight-up great.
Kevin Durant, James Harden, Turner – how does any team beat that?
