Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers won a championship just two seasons ago.
However, they currently look like a completely different team – one that is light-years away from returning to the Finals.
This week the Lakers were officially eliminated from playoff contention after an awful season that fans wish to forget as soon as possible.
But there was one team in the league not forgetting anything: Davis’ former organization, the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans trolled Davis in a very funny, clever way when the Lakers got eliminated.
In a tweet following the Lakers’ loss, the Pelicans tweeted: “That’s All Folks! After tonight’s results, our Play-In Match Up is set. We will face: @Spurs.”
On the surface, that tweet doesn’t seem too harsh but if you know the history between the team and Davis, it’s pretty brutal.
That’s All Folks!
Back in 2019, Davis was desperate to leave the Pelicans, the first team he ever played for.
The big man’s departure was all-but-assured as the season came to a close.
Then he shocked fans when he entered the arena before what was guaranteed to be the last game of the season for the Pelicans.
He was wearing a shirt with the famous Looney Tunes quote, “That’s all folks!”
Fans saw it as a dig at the team and a parting shot before being traded.
Obviously, the team hasn’t let it go – and you can’t really blame them.
Although the joke is humorous, the Pelicans are getting the last laugh in another way.
They will be entering the play-in tournament as the Lakers squad sits at home watching on TV.
That’s the true ultimate revenge.
