The New Orleans Pelicans have gotten off to a great start this season.
Yes, it is clear that the re-entry of Zion Williamson has gone very well so far, with the talented big man making the team even better and once again putting up incredible numbers.
But he’s not the only one who is playing supremely well for the squad.

CJ McCollum, who was traded to the Pels last season, has become a crucial part of the team, especially its offense.
On Sunday night, McCollum scored 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, with 1 steal too.
During the third quarter, McCollum made light work of the defense of Marcus Morris.
McCollum outmaneuvered and outsmarted the hard work of the Clippers star and made an easy bucket.
It looked like he didn’t even break a sweat.
This is what McCollum does so well: he changes up his speed, he keeps his eye on the basket, and he weaves around just about any defender, no matter their size.
McCollum In The Mix
So far this season, McCollum has averaged 20.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 7.2 assists.
That’s higher than his career average of 19.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
There were questions about McCollum when he came to the Big Easy: how would he fit into the team’s roster?
He had spent years by the side of Damian Lillard with the Portland Trail Blazers but how would he do without that All-Star guard?
The answer is clear: McCollum has done very well.
He was a major part of the team’s triumphant regular season last year.
He helped them turn things around and reach the playoffs, despite many thinking they wouldn’t even get close to the play-in tournament.
Now, McCollum is still red hot and he is part of a team that’s even better.
