We are getting more news about Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets and, once again, it isn’t good.
The team has reported that Simmons will miss three to four months of rehab after undergoing back surgery this week.
However, the Nets’ should-be superstar is expected to be ready to return to the floor ahead of the preseason training camp in September.
Simmons, who was traded to the Nets in February, has yet to play a game with his new team as he has rehabbed from a back injury.
However, this injury seems like something of a mystery to some.
I’m trying to figure out did I miss that game Ben Simmons hurt his back when did this all happen

NBA legend Paul Pierce hopped on Twitter after the news of the surgery and had a simple question.
“I’m trying to figure out did I miss that game Ben Simmons hurt his back when did this all happen” Pierce tweeted.
That’s a valid question.
Missing Simmons
The Nets were hoping for great things when they landed Simmons a few months ago.
While he has certainly had his fair share of problems, he is still a truly great defensive player.
There is no doubt he could have helped Brooklyn out, especially in the postseason.
Yet, it quickly became apparent that Simmons wasn’t going to suit up anytime soon.
Many people don’t remember him hurting his back in the first place.
This, along with the fact that he refused to play with the Philadelphia 76ers after a dreadful playoff appearance last year, is leading many to believe he just isn’t a team player.
To make matters worse, there was talk that Simmons would return in the playoffs for Brooklyn but that ultimately didn’t happen.
All of this together has a lot of people thinking that Simmons’ heart just isn’t in the game anymore.
He’s gained a horrible reputation – but he still has the ability to change it.
